Records, not the whole garage
This page is the maintenance-records job. The garage is the ownership system around it: the bike card, fuel, expenses, catalog, and Premium reminders. Use this page when you need a dated history you can show a shop or a buyer.

What a complete service entry holds
A useful record is more than 'serviced'. RPMVault stores the fields below on each job.
Job type
Oil, chain, brakes, tires, or a custom job. Add a second type when two tasks happened on the same visit.
Date and mileage
Every entry is stamped with the day and the odometer reading, so later you know how far ago the work was done.
Cost split
Total cost, with optional parts versus labor. That total also feeds the motorcycle's expense picture.
Notes and shop
Write oil brand, part numbers, invoice number, or a DIY note. Mark authorized, independent, or DIY. Paper receipts stay in your folder; the facts live here.
Next due
Set the next mileage or date on the entry. Premium reminders use that context. The log itself remains on Free.
What the maintenance log records
Real records with date, mileage, and cost, kept per motorcycle.
Service records that stay with the bike
Log each service with what was done, the date, the odometer reading, and what it cost. The record lives on the motorcycle in your garage, not in a notes app. Recurring oil and chain jobs stay readable because the last entry is already there.
Mileage on every entry
Every record is tied to a mileage reading, so you always know how many kilometres ago the oil, chain, or brakes were done. Fuel fills update mileage separately. They do not replace a service entry.
One ownership record
Maintenance, fuel, and costs build one timeline per motorcycle: a history that mechanics and buyers can actually trust. This page owns the service timeline. Fuel and expenses have their own jobs.
PDF export
Export the service history as a PDF for a buyer or a new mechanic. The Free plan includes a monthly export quota. The PDF is the file you can hand over. It is not an OCR scan of shop invoices.
When a written history pays off
Selling the motorcycle
Dated, mileage-stamped records beat promises. A documented service history supports your asking price. Missing oil and chain dates are the first things a careful buyer asks about.
Visiting a new mechanic
A new shop sees what was done and when, instead of guessing from the state of the chain. Notes with oil grade or part numbers save a repeated conversation.
Staying on schedule
See at a glance when the last service happened and compare it against your model's factory intervals. The schedule hub explains what the manual wants next. This page proves what you already did.
Logging the same day
Write the job before you leave the shop or the garage. A five-minute entry beats reconstructing last year's oil change from memory.

Works with the rest of your garage
Service history is the records job inside the RPMVault garage. Fuel, expenses, reminders, and factory schedules share the same motorcycle, not a second account.
Guides on service records
Frequently asked questions
Is RPMVault a motorcycle service history app?
Yes. You log maintenance per motorcycle with date, mileage, cost, and notes. The history stays with the bike in your garage and can be exported as a PDF.
Can I export my motorcycle maintenance records?
Yes. Your service history can be exported as a PDF, useful when selling the bike or switching mechanics. The Free plan includes a monthly export quota.
Is the maintenance log free?
Yes. Free supports one motorcycle with full service history. Premium supports up to five and adds maintenance reminders.
Can I record what each service cost?
Yes. Each entry can include the cost, so maintenance spending becomes part of the same ownership record as fuel.
Is this the same as the motorcycle garage page?
No. The garage is the full ownership system. This page is the service-history job: dated maintenance records, resale files, and PDF export.
Can I attach receipts or photos to a service?
Not as a document vault. Put invoice numbers, part numbers, and shop names in the notes. Keep paper receipts. Export a PDF when you need one file for a buyer.
