Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

RPMVault respects intellectual property rights. This policy explains how we handle copyright claims for user-submitted and platform content, including notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where applicable.

1. Our content

Unless otherwise stated, original RPMVault software, design, branding, and editorial content are protected by copyright and related rights.

Catalog specifications are compiled from publicly available sources for informational purposes. Manufacturer trademarks and product names remain the property of their respective owners. See our Trademark Policy for brand usage rules.

2. User content

Users may submit reviews, photos, garage notes, and other content. By submitting content, you represent that you own it or have permission to share it, and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

RPMVault may remove or disable access to content that appears to infringe rights, violate law, or breach our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Copyright infringement notice

If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent and believe content on RPMVault infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@rpm-vault.com including:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its URL or sufficient location information
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner

4. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@rpm-vault.com with your contact details, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and consent to jurisdiction as required by applicable law.

5. Response times

We aim to acknowledge complete notices within 1 business day, complete an initial review within 3 business days, and take action within 7 business days where the claim is valid and actionable.

6. Repeat infringement

RPMVault may terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights, consistent with applicable law and our Terms of Service.
